Ariadne CQL Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 23, 2026
Ariadne CQL is a native macOS database client for connecting to ScyllaDB and Cassandra endpoints that you configure.
Data Collection
Ariadne CQL does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data with the developer. The app does not include developer-operated analytics, advertising SDKs, telemetry, crash reporting, or a backend service.
Local Data
The app stores the following data locally on your Mac:
- Connection profile metadata, such as profile name, host, port, keyspace, username, TLS settings, and production/local classification.
- Connection passwords in the macOS Keychain.
- Query history and saved CQL snippets in local app preferences.
- Imported private CA PEM files in Application Support inside the app container.
You can remove local profiles, saved queries, history, imported CA files, and stored passwords from the app's Clear Local Data control.
Database Connections
When you connect to a database, Ariadne CQL sends the connection details, credentials, CQL statements, and TLS settings you provide directly to the database endpoints you configure. Database responses are rendered locally in the app. They are not relayed through a developer-operated server.
Third Parties
Ariadne CQL does not send data to third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Data may be sent to database services that you choose to connect to while using the app.
Changes
This policy may be updated when app behavior changes. Any material privacy changes should be reflected in the App Store privacy nutrition label before a new release is submitted.
