Ariadne CQL Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026

Ariadne CQL is a direct-download desktop client for connecting to ScyllaDB and Cassandra endpoints that you configure.

Data Collection

Ariadne CQL does not sell or rent personal data. The desktop app does not include developer-operated analytics, advertising SDKs, telemetry, or crash reporting. Database connection data and query results are not sent to the Ariadne CQL account or payment service.

Local Data

The app stores the following data locally on your Mac:

You can remove local profiles, saved queries, history, imported CA files, and stored passwords from the app's Clear Local Data control.

Database Connections

When you connect to a database, Ariadne CQL sends the connection details, credentials, CQL statements, and TLS settings you provide directly to the database endpoints you configure. Database responses are rendered locally in the app. They are not relayed through a developer-operated server.

Account and Purchase Data

If you sign in to purchase or use Ariadne CQL Pro, the account and entitlement service processes the identity-provider email and account identifier, payment provider order identifier and entitlement status, and the identifiers and labels of registered desktop devices. This information is used only to deliver checkout, issue and refresh Pro access, prevent duplicate fulfillment, process refunds or disputes, and let you manage active devices.

Ariadne CQL does not receive or store full payment-card details. Stripe or Paddle processes payment information on its hosted checkout according to the provider shown during purchase.

Third Parties

Ariadne CQL does not send data to third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Data may be sent to database services that you choose to connect to while using the app. Cloudflare hosts the public site and account service; the selected identity provider handles sign-in; and Stripe or Paddle handles checkout and payment events.

Changes

This policy may be updated when app behavior changes. Any material privacy changes should be reflected in the App Store privacy nutrition label before a new release is submitted.
